On the morning of Saturday 22nd July, Ben and his groomsmen started the day with a refreshing dip in the cool waters of Gyllyngvase beach in Falmouth. A great way to cleanse the mind and soul and prepare for an amazing breakfast at Gylly cafe.

Meanwhile Tess and her bridesmaids were busy getting ready at Manhay Farm (see below). Tess looked radiant and was glowing with excitement, her smile was beaming and was a permanent feature on this happy bride to-be.

Ben works as a retained firefighter and for the last few years has secretly planned this guard of honour archway ever since setting a date. A perfect blessing and show of support by such valued and respected professionals. A visual delight and I hope the images are as good as you had hoped for and last long in the memory. Many thanks to everybody that made this possible at Falmouth Fire Station, 'Hats off to you all'.

Manhay Farm, Nr Helston is an 18th century farm and a brand new and upcoming wedding venue in Cornwall. After using the farm as a venue for the owners own wedding three years ago, people began asking to use it for their own wedding celebrations. The barn is 60 feet x 20 feet and for Ben and Tess's wedding Manhay Farm hosted 120 people on trestle tables comfortably, allowing for a bar at one end. Outside is concrete hard standing, for seating or a small marquee for extra space. Manhay Farm has two fields available for parking and camping and a formal/cottage garden with decking, summer house and pond for welcome drinks, weather permitting...! The converted hay barn/animal pen is available as a self-contained one bed apartment and after completing a barn conversion the original three bed cottage is now available to rent. The one bed apartment is ideal as the honeymoon suite and the cottage has two double and a bunk rooms available for a family.

I recently attended a wedding photography workshop with the very talented Alan Law cleverly named Law school. This was the first wedding I have shot since attending and a few things were floating around in my head as I approached different parts of the day. One of the things that I knew I wanted to embrace was "Men Get Married Too!", I wanted to achieve a set of confetti images with the groom as the primary focus and I'm happy I tried to achieve images that maybe haven't been seen before. A little bit of originality goes a long way in an image saturated world.

As soon as I saw the fire pit at Manhay Farm I knew I wanted to achieve this image below. I would like to say I nailed it first time, the reality was it took a fair few attempts. Trial and error on the correct exposure and lighting was sporadic and assisted by a very helpful wedding guest and legend Adam "professional lighting extraordinaire" Martin, Thanks.

"Chris was a complete professional from start to finish taking the time to visit the venues before hand to look at lighting etc. On the day he made us both feel relaxed and blended into the background that we forgot he was even there, which is brilliant as it's these special unscripted moments that he captures on camera which in my opinion make the best photos. Chris professionalism carried on after the day with the album being so cleverly put together. So many photos of the day all amazing memories captured that we will be able to look at for years to come. Thank you Chris words cannot do justice to the amazing job you have done" - Mr & Mrs Ridgeon
